Royal Roads 2019 Design Thinking Challenge

The 2019 Royal Roads Design Thinking Challenge, hosted in partnership with Downtown Victoria Business Association, focused on identifying an important social challenge: how to attract more people to Victoria's downtown core. We asked nine teams of students to find ways to encourage more people to spend time downtown. At each stage of the challenge, the teams refined their ideas and gleaned insight from experts, each other and people who visit and avoid the downtown core. The King’s University team snagged first place for their idea to create the Family Friendly Victoria campaign.
